Mountain Skills and Navigation in Snowdonia
Freedom Outdoors offers a two or 5 day course aimed at people who want to learn the skills needed to climb mountains. The course is based in Snowdonia, North Wales. The course will equip you with the skills required to progress into more mountainous areas with confidence. Learning will take place in a practical way with lots of opportunity to recap during the course.
Should I choose the two or five day course?
Both courses have the same aim: To equip you with the skills to head out into more mountainous terrain and away from paths with confidence. Both courses will cover the skills listed below to a certain extent. The five day course will allow you to move through skills at a slower pace and potentially in more detail. It will allow more time for practise and recaps. It will also give us the opportunity to explore more of the varied terrain that the Snowdonia National Park has to offer.

I had a great time on the mountain skills course. We covered so many different areas of the syllabus and I learnt many new skills and ideas. Lou patiently answered our nearly endless barrage of questions over the 2 days. Would highly recommend!Ben Stevens
