Types of data I collect
When someone visits www.freedom-outdoors.co.uk I use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect details of visitor behaviour and patterns. I do this to find out things such as which are the most visited areas of my site. This information is processed in a way which does not identify anyone.
When someone signs up to receive my newsletter I collect their personal information. I collect names, email addresses and interests relating to the activities that I provide. I use the newsletter to update people about upcoming courses and special offers. I never rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
I also collect the names and email addresses of people who take part in or enquire about courses. I use this information to contact people if there is a course which I think might be of interest. Don’t worry, I only do this very occasionally. You can unsubscribe to the newsletter or email list at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email or by emailing the Information officer at email@example.com (link to my email).
When another instructor is working with you I need to share some of your personal information. I share your name, phone number, email address, designated emergency contact and phone number as well as any medical/injury information that you have disclosed. None of your personal information is kept by freelance instructors longer than the time frame for which they are working with you. I keep the information stored on your consent form for seven years.
I am committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, I have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information I collect online.
Access to your personal information
You are entitled to view, amend or delete the personal information that I hold. Please email your request to Louise Tully, firstname.lastname@example.org.

All comments, queries and requests relating to the use of your information are welcomed. If you feel your complaint has not been addressed in a satisfactory matter, you may contact the ICO who regulate data use and protection in the UK.
