Complete Climber
Whether you are a complete beginner or have done a little climbing before this 5 day rock climbing course in North Wales will guide you through the skills and techniques needed to become a self sufficient climber. During this journey we aim to let you experience a different area of Eryri/Snowdonia each day and climb on varied rock types. This will let you get a real understanding of the rock climbing possibilities that lie ahead.
What will I learn on this climbing course?
As with all of our courses the teaching will be geared to suit individual needs so course content may vary. Examples of aspects covered are:
- Equipment.
- Climbing etiquette/calls.
- Use of guide books.
- Belaying (from top as well as bottom).
- Movement skills.
- Setting up rope systems.
- Safety whilst abseiling.
- Risk assessments.
- Access to crags.
- Seconding climbs.
- Multi pitch climbs as well as single pitch.
- Leading if appropriate.

Wow, what a fantastic weeks climbing instruction with Lou and the best birthday present ever. She looked after myself and my wife in a very professional and friendly manner. Her knowledge and skills in tuition are second to none and we felt more than safe for the whole time. She lets you test your levels gradually to build confidence. The both of have learned so much and too long to list here. What was also good was the variety of climbing situations she managed to set up for us in some beautiful locations.
