ML refresher, Snowdonia

Sun, May 04, 2014

Today I was out again with Mark on the second day of an ML refresher weekend in Snowdonia. It was cold out today with quite strong winds so I was glad that we were able to keep moving. The main focus from the Mountain Leader syllabus was navigation, as well as route finding through tricky terrain. We also spent a fair bit of time looking at the flora and fauna along the way. Its such a good time of year at the moment with different plants beginning to appear and flowers coming out.

Patches of snow remain on Glyder Fawr in the distance as we head up Y Gribin on a Mountain Leader refresher course.

We headed up Y Gribin in good visibility then up into the clouds to Glyder Fach, Glyder Fawr and then back into visibility to descend through Devils Kitchen.

If you are considering doing a ML training course our next one is running the 25th-30th May.
